Tea Time with Tab

What a weird week. I’ve had allergy symptoms and it’s the dead of winter. I swear our weather is strange. I’m not a pill taker if I don’t have to be…at least not over the counter kind. I’m a supplement girl but prefer to take care of things with food or drink. So this week has been a very tea heavy week. Did you know there’s a tea for just about any symptom or ailment under the sun? Tea is so powerful. It’s loaded with antioxidants and minerals. Plus, most of the time, it’s so tasty! I’m a firm believer that I can find a tea for anyone regardless of if they “like” tea or not. I’m not talking about that cheap crap you buy at the grocery store in bags either. Loose leaf tea is way superior and if you can find organic and / or clean teas that’s the way to go!

My go to blend this week has been:
Lemon Balm

Raspberry

Roobios

Peppermint

Chamomile

I personally like to sweeten with either honey, stevia, or simple syrup…totally depends on the tea. This particular blend has gotten honey since I’m dealing with allergy symptoms. Local honey is amazing for combating allergies and I’ve been known to eat it straight in the fall which is when my symptoms are usually rampant.

Besides this weird allergy crap I started this week too…because of course I did. Thankfully, those symptoms have been lessening as the months go by. I’ve been cycle syncing for a bit now and slowly incorporating more and more into that. My supplements, my food, what I drink, work, and how active I am. I won’t go into all of that now, but women are not meant to operate as men do. Men are on a 24 hour cycle. Women…28+ days. The problem is no one told us these things when we were younger. I didn’t learn til I was older and you know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks. It took a while for me to get in the groove. Worth it? 100%. Just slow and the whole time my mantra was “I wish I knew this sooner.” I don’t have daughters but you better believe my sons are learning that women are different and they need to be respectful of that.

I’ll definitely dive into cycle syncing more, but this week has been slowing down and resting. Giving my body the permission it needs to just be and not try and be superwoman. My family appreciates me not being a raving lunatic as well from trying to push through. And honestly, I still almost pushed myself too hard yesterday getting ready for small group. I always think I can accomplish more than I’m truly able to. Working on that!

We finished one of our puzzles yesterday from Completing the Puzzle. So far I’m pretty happy with the subscription. Of course getting it got my brain firing in “I could start a business like that!” I swear I’m the best idea factor…I just need a counterpart who’s good at taking my ideas and jump starting them. Anyone wired that way? I’m taking applications if you are!

I’m not normally one for this, but left a big pile of dishes by the sink last night because that was not happening before bed. I was exhausted. Thankfully I feel much better this morning so the dishes will get tackled later. Hoping to catch up on my laundry too. And hubs and I are going to a nice dinner with some friends. Today’s her birthday and his birthday is Saturday so we’re going to celebrate both! I’m excited. I enjoy getting all dolled up and having a nice meal. I’ve been excited to try this place too.

I say I enjoy getting all dolled up but I’m not fashion first. I swear having my colors and style done was one of the best decisions for me. I’ve never had a sense of style and finding out what works for me was eye opening. The intuition was there all along, but putting it together was difficult. I still struggle a little with it but I’ve been slowing figuring out what looks good together.

Pro tip: even if you’re not leaving the house, take a few minutes and get ready for the day in the morning. My makeup routine is 2 minutes or less. Figuring out what to wear is usually what takes the longest, but that’ll get faster too with time. I even put my shoes on. I do that because I have to go outside to get dogs so it’s easier for me to just have shoes on instead of having to put them on every time. If you haven’t invested in some zero drop, barefoot shoes…I highly recommend. I have Whitins and I LOVE them! In fact, I need to get another pair.

Alright I’ve blabbered enough…if you’re reading this have a fantastic day!

Much love,

Tabatha 💜
